Genesis 9 Part I: God’s Purpose in Miniature

After the flood waters receded from the earth, God had a people—Noah and his family—who lived in resurrection. The first thing Noah did was worship God by building an altar and making burnt offerings. Today we also should worship God in the reality of this type—we can turn to our spirit (the reality of the altar), and offer Christ (the reality of the burnt offerings).

The living of Noah and his family fulfilled God’s eternal purpose in miniature.  Because God’s purpose was being met, He repeated the blessing He put upon man in Genesis 2:

Genesis 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.

Today, God needs even more people who would live Him, offer Christ to Him, and allow Him to gain His expression and representation on the earth to the full.
